GPS (GODS PROVEN SOLUTION)

This has probably never happen to you, but just the other day while sitting in my den I started smiling for absolutely no reason.  I wasn't looking at pictures of the grandkids, I wasn't talking on the phone to my girls or one of my homies.  My husband was at work and the TV wasn't even on.  There was no reason to smile, to laugh or to show any type of emotion. The only answer to my dilemma was this; my heart was filled with Joy because of the Joy giver.

The only explanation I found was this; it was the Joy of the Lord,  I had received the peace which only he can give; the thought's surpassed anything I could understand.  So how is it possible for us to obtain such a calmness.  We find ourselves both longing and searching for it, usually in the most un-peaceful places.  We seek joy only to find temporary happiness.  Its liking putting air in a flat tire, it may last for a while but eventually it will go flat again.  Happiness is based on what's happening; but joy is felt in spite of what's happening, Joy is what the Lord gives, it cant be taken away neither can it be stolen. Even in the mist of great trials and tribulations you can find "JOY".  Only those who have  truly sought the Lord, who trust him are poured out an abundance of peace and joy.

God says "Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find it; knock and the door will be opened to you. " Matthew 7:7 (NIV) So many of my friends have decided in this new year to renew and enhance their relationship with God.  They are asking God and trusting him to restore peace and joy in their lives.  They are knocking on the door of God's heart, to get his attention through prayer and fasting.

God is always trying to get our attention, but when we get the attention of God things happen.  Peace happens, joy happens, We have so many addictions that are not drug and alcohol related.  We over indulge in eating, shopping, gambling, lying, the list goes on.  We spend more time searching the web instead of the scriptures.  We throw stones, back stab and manipulate and still find no joy.

If you want to find real joy, real peace; meet "The Lord" Jeremiah 10 explains it best in verse 10 "But the Lord is the true God, the eternal King".  The way of Joy is the way of Christ and the rode to Joy first starts with the word.  You can search high and low, but until you meet him for yourself its like driving in circles.  The BIBLE is the (GPS) Gods Proven Solution,  once you find him, you can find your Way, your Peace and your Joy.
